Hypnexis 2026 is open for registration until 15 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST, which is three days away as of 12 October. Timeline

  • 7 September: registrations open
  • 15 October: registration closes at 11:59 PM IST
  • 16 October, 6:00 PM to 11:59 PM IST: Hypnexis Aptitude Challenge (online)

  • 24 October: the offline hackathon starts at MUJ, and problem statements are revealed at the start
  • 25 October: Grand Finale at MUJ

How the three phases work

Phase 1, the aptitude challenge. This is an online assessment of technical aptitude, logical reasoning and problem-solving. Teams with the highest scores qualify for the offline hackathon. Everyone who takes part gets a blockchain-based participation certificate, a detailed scorecard and performance analytics, plus partner perks such as discount vouchers, software credits and learning platform access.

Phase 2, the 36-hour hackathon. Shortlisted teams build at MUJ with guidance from industry mentors and present their projects to the Grand Jury. The problem statements are only revealed when the hackathon begins, so you cannot pre-build a solution. The focus is AI, but the listing does not publish fixed tracks.

Phase 3, the Grand Finale. Finalists compete on 25 October for the top prizes.

Prizes

  • Winner: ₹1,00,000
  • First runner-up: ₹75,000
  • Second runner-up: ₹50,000

The listing also names placement incentives, paid internships, courses, goodies, hampers, vouchers, incubation opportunities and letters of recommendation. It does not break down how the ₹10 lakh total is made up beyond the three cash prizes, so treat the non-cash items as unpriced extras.

Who can enter

Hypnexis is open to students from any discipline. A team needs a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 members, and members can belong to different institutions. International teams can compete online or offline.

How to register

  1. Open the Hypnexis 2026 page on Unstop and start a team registration.
  2. Enter the team leader's details.
  3. Pay the fee that matches your category and keep the transaction ID.
  4. Submit the transaction ID with your registration. The listing says a valid transaction ID and payment proof are required, and that the fee must match your eligibility category to avoid disqualification.

Things to check before you commit

  • Refunds. The listing does not mention a refund policy, so look for one on the Unstop page before you pay.
  • Offline rounds mean travel to Jaipur. The listing does not mention travel or accommodation support for shortlisted teams.
  • The aptitude challenge is the real gate. It is a one-evening online test on 16 October, so make sure every team member is free from 6:00 PM IST.
  • Dates for the offline phase are fixed. The hackathon starts 24 October and the finale is 25 October, so check these against your exams.

If you miss the deadline

Registration closes on 15 October and the listing offers no late window. Other events are open in the same weeks, including Hacktoberfest, the OpenCV AI Competition and IEEEXtreme 20.0. See the October to December 2026 calendar on Brabble for confirmed dates.
