What it is
Flipkart GRiD started as a coding contest and has grown into what Flipkart now bills as a full-scale AI accelerator: students tackle real e-commerce problems at Flipkart's scale across three tracks — Software Development, AI Engineering, and Data Science. Registration and the early rounds run fully online and are free to enter; the top performers are flown in for a final, in-person hackathon.

01. Registration and track selection
Students register online and pick a track: Software Development, AI Engineering, or Data Science.
02. Online qualifying rounds
Track-specific online assessments/problem sets narrow the pool.
03. Top 48 to Bangalore HQ
The top performers per track (recent editions: 16 per track, 48 total) are flown to Flipkart's Bangalore HQ.
04. Live hackathon and pitch
Finalists form teams of 4 on-site, build a working prototype, and present directly to Flipkart leadership.
05. Shortlisting for roles
Based on performance and current year of study, candidates are shortlisted for internships or full-time SDE/AI/DS roles.
Who can enter
- Students pursuing B.Tech/B.E., M.Tech/M.E., M.S., PhD, dual-degree, or integrated-degree programmes at an Indian engineering college
- Specific graduating-year windows apply each edition (recent editions targeted 2027–2030 graduates for Bachelor's/Master's, 2027–2031 for PhD/dual-degree) — check the current edition's exact cutoff before registering
- Free to enter, fully online except the final in-person round
