What it is
WeForShe HackerRamp is Myntra's flagship women-in-tech competition for pre-final and final-year engineering students. The programme combines hiring-style screening with a product hackathon: resumes are screened before an online assessment, the top teams receive ecommerce/fashion-tech problem statements and mentorship, and finalists build a prototype and present it to Myntra's engineering jury. It rewards both coding ability and the ability to reason about catalogue, discovery, personalisation, trust, logistics, and high-scale consumer experience.

01. Registration and profile screening
Myntra screens registration details and resumes before inviting teams to the assessment. Accurate projects, impact, GitHub links, and eligibility evidence matter; registration alone does not guarantee an OA.
02. Online assessment
Shortlisted candidates complete a coding/technical assessment. The exact question bank changes, so prepare common DSA patterns and verify the contest environment before the slot.
03. Top-team problem reveal, mentorship, and prototype
Top teams receive fashion-commerce problem statements, attend a briefing, work with mentors, and submit a technical prototype within the published build window.
04. Virtual jury and grand finale
Teams defend the user insight, engineering, scale, metrics, and demo virtually; the top six proceed to the grand finale at Myntra's Bengaluru headquarters and the applicable PPI process.
How to prepare
Step 01
Make the profile scannable and provable
A strong OA preparation is wasted if the team never clears screening.
Lead each resume project with user/problem, individual contribution, technology, scale, and measured result; remove vague tool lists.
Use working GitHub/demo links with readable READMEs and no exposed secrets; align names, graduation years, and academic data across forms.
Choose teammates who all satisfy eligibility and bring DSA, product/full-stack or ML, and clear communication.
Step 02
Prepare the technical filter
Train for independent timed execution, not recalled-question hunting.
Practise arrays/strings, hashing, sorting, binary search, two pointers/sliding windows, stacks/queues, trees/graphs, greedy, and basic DP.
Rehearse reading both problems, securing a correct baseline, testing duplicates/empty/large cases, and only then optimising.
Test compiler/library availability during any demo assessment; do not assume a local IDE feature exists on the platform.
Step 03
Learn fashion-commerce systems
The best prototype solves a Myntra-relevant job and survives real catalogue and traffic constraints.
Study discovery/search, ranking and recommendations, size/fit, catalogue quality, visual search, returns, seller tooling, fraud/trust, Gen Z journeys, and Indian-language/accessibility needs.
Define online and offline metrics: conversion alone can hide returns, low relevance, unfair exposure, latency, or loss of trust.
For ML, build an evaluation set with cold-start and minority slices; for UI, demonstrate the entire shopper or operator journey.

Women engineering students in full-time B.E./B.Tech or eligible integrated engineering programmes across Indian colleges
2026 edition: pre-final and final-year students in the eligible 2027 and 2028 batches; first-year, second-year, 2026 graduates, standalone Master's, MCA, BCA, B.Sc, and diploma programmes are not eligible

What you actually get
The strongest teams receive national recognition, cash awards stated for the season, mentorship, and - for the top finalist teams that meet batch rules - pre-placement interview opportunities for Myntra internships. Profile shortlisting, reaching the finale, and clearing a PPI are separate decisions; none should be described as an automatic offer.

Is WeForShe HackerRamp women-only?+−
Yes. The 2026 official programme FAQ describes it as a women-only engineering competition. It is open across eligible engineering colleges and specialisations, not only tier-one colleges or CS branches.
Does registration guarantee the online assessment?+−
No. The programme uses profile screening before the OA. Treat the resume and project links as a scored submission and avoid assuming that CGPA alone determines selection.
What should we build?+−
Follow the released problem statement. In general, build one reliable fashion-commerce journey, realistic data flow, measurable result, and explicit failure handling rather than a generic chatbot or a deck full of disconnected features.
What topics should I practise for the OA?+−
Prepare standard interview DSA patterns under a timer and review programming fundamentals. Public recollections are inconsistent and the question bank changes, so use them as mock difficulty signals, not a guaranteed syllabus.
Do finalists automatically receive internships?+−
No. Eligible top finalists receive PPI opportunities and must separately clear Myntra's interview process. Batch and programme rules apply.
