What it is
The P&G CEO Challenge is P&G's flagship student case competition, run in three stages: local, regional, and global. The local and regional rounds work through real P&G case studies - building an actual business strategy against a live problem the company has genuinely faced - while the global round switches format entirely, becoming a business simulator where the team makes company-level decisions as if they were the CEO in real time.
Rounds
01. Local round
Teams work a real P&G case study, building a business strategy solution, and present to local campus judges.
02. Regional round
Top local teams advance to a regional round, typically a deeper or new case within the same business-strategy format.
03. Global round
National/regional winners compete in a live business simulator, making company decisions in real time as though they were P&G's CEO.
Who can enter
- First-year, full-time MBA students
- Enrolled at one of the eligible listed B-School campuses for the India edition
- Teams of 3 to 4 members (exact size set per edition) from the same campus
What you actually get
Strong performers get direct visibility with P&G's senior leadership and a case-competition credential that's unusually close to real strategic decision-making, given the simulator format at the global stage - useful specifically for students targeting brand management or general management tracks at FMCG companies.
Frequently asked questions
- Three: a local round and a regional round, both built around real P&G business-strategy case studies, and a global round that switches format entirely to a live business simulator where the team makes company decisions in real time.
- First-year, full-time MBA students, in teams of 3 to 4 members (exact size set per edition) from the same eligible B-School campus for the India edition.
- The local and regional rounds are traditional written case-solution formats. The global round replaces that entirely with a live business simulator - you're making real-time company decisions as CEO rather than presenting a static slide deck.
- Yes, free to register and participate at every stage.
