TCS CodeVita Season 14: Eligibility, Rules and What the Official Page Confirms

TCS CodeVita Season 14 is live on the official portal with a Register now button. Here is what the page confirms on eligibility, languages, prizes and rounds, and what is still unannounced.

TCS CodeVita Season 14 is live on the official portal at codevita.tcsapps.com, which now carries a Season 14 page with a Register now button. The page confirms who can enter, the languages allowed, the prize and the format. It does not display a registration deadline or round dates, so those are not confirmed anywhere this article could verify.

Many third-party articles written in July and August said Season 14 had not been announced. That is out of date: the official page now describes the season.

What the official page says

  • Name: TCS CodeVita Season 14, tagline "Code beyond imagination"
  • What it is: a global programming competition by TCS, started in 2012, to identify top coders worldwide
  • Season 13 record: the page says Guinness World Records listed CodeVita as the world's largest programming competition, with the latest record set in 2026 with 146,922 participants. It also cites 669k+ contestants from 109 countries in Season 13. The page does not explain the difference between the two figures.
  • Time per round: 3 hours
  • Languages: only C, C++, Java and Python
  • Advancement: solve more questions and advance further, and only the top coders in each round move on
  • Later rounds: rounds 2 and 3 may involve technologies beyond traditional programming, with details revealed after Round 1

Eligibility

Students pursuing graduation or post-graduation who are:

  • studying in any stream of science or engineering
  • expecting to complete their course in 2027, 2028, 2029 or 2030
  • from any recognised institute across the globe

If you are graduating in 2026, you are outside the Season 14 window as published.

Prizes and benefits

  • The top 3 coders win total prize money of USD 20,000.
  • Top coders receive a global rank certificate.
  • Finalists get a chance to travel to India for the Season 14 Grand Finale, with conditions applying.

The journey

The page lays out four stages: registration, MockVitas, the rounds and the finale. MockVitas are practice rounds that work like the real ones as a demo of the contest. Only those who clear the actual rounds go on to the finale.

Rules from the official FAQ

  • You do not have to attempt questions in serial order, but the timer for a question keeps running if you move away from it.
  • If you use code from the internet, you must declare the source before submitting. Give the precise URL of every source used.
  • Closing the browser loses the code you wrote there. Keep a local copy of everything you submit.
  • Sessions expire after 15 minutes of inactivity.
  • Private and public test case results appear in separate submission tabs.
  • The helpline email is campuscommune@tcs.com.

What is still unconfirmed

  • the Season 14 registration deadline
  • the dates of MockVitas and each round
  • the Grand Finale date and venue

For context only, prep trackers reported that Season 13 registration closed on 18 September 2025, and a college notice recorded the Season 12 deadline as 5 November 2024. Those dates are not a guide to this year, so check the portal after you register.

How to prepare

Practise timed problems in C, C++, Java or Python, since no other language will be accepted. Use the sample questions on the CodeVita page, which range from simple to complex, and practise saving your work locally and citing sources. Brabble's CodeVita guide covers the contest in more depth.
